An Iranian missile strike has damaged an Israeli hospital and injured many people, according to Israeli officials. Israel has accused Iran of directly targeting the Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba, southern Israel, during its latest wave of attacks. Iran, however, has denied the claim.
“This morning, Iran’s terrorist tyrants launched missiles at Soroka Hospital and at civilians in Beersheba,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu posted on social media. “The tyrants in Tehran will pay the full price.”
According to Israel’s emergency service Magen David Adom (MDA), at least 65 people were injured in the attack and are receiving treatment. Israeli military officials stated that dozens of missiles were fired by Iran during this latest assault.Israel claims that civilian areas, including the hospital, were deliberately targeted. Iran, on the other hand, insists that its intended target was a nearby military base, not the hospital.Iran’s state media reported that the missile strike was aimed at the Israeli Army Command Headquarters and an intelligence camp located near the Soroka Hospital. “The hospital was only affected by the blast wave and did not suffer serious damage. The military facility was the precise and direct target,” the report stated.
