KATHMANDU, Prime Minister Sushila Karki has said elections to the House of Representatives will be held on the scheduled date to ensure peace and stability in the country.

Speaking at Singha Durbar during a meeting with a delegation led by former Ilam lawmaker Suhang Nembang, she said the current government was formed solely to restore peace and conduct elections.The Prime Minister urged all stakeholders to move ahead without confusion and called on young leaders to take charge of the nation’s future. She also assured that the government is serious about rebuilding flood- and landslide-damaged roads and bridges in Ilam.
