KATHMANDU, The Pokhara Avengers secured their first victory of Nepal Premier League Season 2, defeating the Janakpur Bolts by 35 runs at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.After losing their first two matches, Pokhara posted a competitive 165 runs, powered by Sumeet Verma’s unbeaten 50 off 29 balls, supported by Dinesh Kharel’s 38 and Adam Rossington’s 24.

Janakpur struggled once again, managing only 130 for nine in 30 overs. Pokhara’s Bipin Khatri delivered a match-winning spell, claiming four wickets for just 15 runs, dismantling the top order early.

Sanjay Krishnamurthy top-scored for Janakpur with 25, but early setbacks halted their chase.The win brings much-needed momentum for Pokhara, while Janakpur remains winless and under pressure to bounce back.
