Janakpurdham , The weeklong Sita-Ram Vivah Panchami festival, reflecting the rich cultural identity of Mithila, concluded on Wednesday with the traditional Ramkalewa ceremony.On the final day, saints and sages who arrived as symbolic wedding guests were offered 56 varieties of dishes and sweets and respectfully bid farewell with traditional gifts and offerings.

A day earlier, the Swayambar ceremony of Ram and Sita had been performed at the Rangbhoomi grounds, followed by marriage rituals at the Janaki Temple complex late into the night.

According to Assistant Mahant Ram Roshan Das of Janaki Temple, the festival formally concluded only after completing all religious procedures and giving due honor to the visiting saints.
