EditionDharan: Manika Vishwakarma has been crowned Miss Universe India 2025 and will represent India at the 74th Miss Universe pageant, scheduled to be held in November 2025 in Thailand.The grand finale of Miss Universe India 2025 took place on August 18 in Jaipur, Rajasthan, where Manika emerged victorious among 48 contestants. Last year’s winner, Riya Singh, crowned her successor. Four other contestants were declared as runners-up.After winning the crown, Manika said, “Whether you live in a village or a city, with hard work and confidence, you can achieve your dreams and conquer the world.”Born in Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, Manika is currently a student of Political Science and Economics at Delhi University. Alongside academics, she has pursued her passion for art, classical dance, and social work.She is also the founder of Neuron Bha, an organization that works to empower and support patients struggling with addiction. A recipient of honors in fine arts, Manika has also represented India’s Ministry of External Affairs at the BIMSTEC Summit.With her victory, she is now set to represent India on the global stage at Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand.
