KATHMANDU: Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri on Sunday paid a courtesy call on Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) Ashok Raj Sigdel at the Nepali Army Headquarters.
On the occasion, Misri formally handed over light vehicles, critical medical equipment, and trained military animals, including dogs and horses, to the Nepali Army.
According to a statement from the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, the handover underscores the long-standing defense cooperation and close ties between the two armies.
“This gesture symbolizes the spirit of trust and partnership that has long characterized our enduring relationship,” the Embassy said.
